Go Polk City is a network of business owners, civic and non profit organizations, building a firm foundation of economic and community support. By taking a leadership role in creating marketing strategies, organizing networking opportunities and serving as a liaison with state and local governments, Go Polk City continues to prosper as more businesses invest in Polk City.

The Polk City Community Foundation is governed by a local board of directors of active philanthropic individuals who care about our community. Beyond grants that advance charitable activities, the PCCF ensures your charitable giving and planning is handled professionally, distributing funds to a wide variety of organizations within this community.
Polk City Women actively works to support our community through charitable giving, scholarships, and other civic duties. The organizations fundraising efforts include their famous lemonade stand during the Four Seasons Festival, bake sale during Fall Fest, and more. All funds are reinvested into Polk City. PCW meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM.
The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. The American Legion is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization. The Polk City American Legion hall is located on Broadway just east of the Square. The hall available for rent and well suited for parties and social events. The bar is open to the public when not rented for private events.
Kiwanis International is a global community of clubs, members and partners dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. Each community has different needs, and Kiwanis empowers members to pursue creative ways to serve the needs of children, such as fighting hunger, improving literacy and offering guidance. The Kiwanis Club of Polk City meets twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month at the Miller Park Shelter House and Qube Hotel respectively.
The Polk City Community Library is an accredited facility providing many services to our community including: free internet access, children’s story times, youth activities, adult programming, copy and fax services, and a variety of hosted events. In addition to an extensive book collection, the library also checks out magazines, DVD’s, mobile hotspots, cake pans, rubber stamps, and activity passes.

The Community Visioning Program helps small Iowa communities bridge the gap between the demand and availability of design resources needed to improve transportation systems. The program integrates landscape planning and design with sustainable action to make decisions about the local landscape. The committee identifies and investigates the physical and cultural dimensions of landscape issues, sets goals for change, and develops implementation strategies for meeting community goals.
